I think the MyKey can reduce performance for valets or teen drivers. It could be that it was always programmed (used vehicle?) and you just switched keys. each key can be programmed differently.

my truck is a 5.0, and either ive gotten used to the awesome power and pull, or it seems a lil doggie compared to when I first got it? Don't get me wrong, it runs good, but...? I might try this battery thing, will I lose anything more than the radio presets? Like my android auto, comfort settings, etc..., stuff like that? Thanx, curious.

you have gotten used to the power. Nothing wrong with the truck...your butt-dyno has just calibrated to it.

Both. Touch the positive to the negative and hold together in some fashion for about 15 minutes

Yes remove both. Touch both leads together with a piece of wire, without any connection to the battery. I use a test lead that has a clip on both ends, so you dont have to hold it there.
