A question about 3.5 V6 stock Exhaust
I've discovered something that make me somewhat curious. I'm not sure there are many that have ran across this finding yet. I bought a 2016 3.5 V6 regular cab truck. I ordered a Ford OEM chrome exhaust tip but it does not fit because it's clamp is too large to clamp onto my stock exhaust pipe. I compared my exhaust to the ones on other trucks and have discovered that the F-150 Crew-Cab trucks that also have a 3.5 V6 engine have larger diameter exhaust pipes than the exhaust on a regular cab F150 with a 3.5 V6.
Does anyone know why that is?

Curious if you have the NA 3.5 or the TT 3.5.
I'm only guessing that might be the difference?
Either that or the shorter exhaust (on your truck) doesn't need the larger diameter pipe because of the shorter length. Simply speculating and bumping your thread.
