Putco Blade LED Light Bar 60" RED
#71
Thanks for your input. I actually just got done reversing what I did yesterday. Took out the bridge wire, reconnected the red wire on the bar using heat shrink sleeves and I kept the ground attached to the white wire on the trailer 7-pin harness and taped it nice and good with electrical tape

Allergic to Asphalt!
I just got my 60 Blade and have a 2019 F150 Platinum with full LED lights BLIS, Lane Keeping system or Trailer Tow Package.
The issue I'm having is that the wiring behind my tail light looks nothing like the video or the instructions.
My LED tail lights are sealed and have 12 small wires coming out of thenm and I cannot find a wiring diagram that shows what wire is what to make the proper connections.
Any ideas?

Not true. I had no issues with mine until the amber went out on my bar. Ripped it out and got it replaced under warranty. This time got the all red version and shop replaced it. They didn't do a great job hooking it up so my buddy looked at it and cleaned up install and wiring. Have not and an issue with new one either.

You can hook into the power and reverse wires of the trailer circuit with no problems but you cannot hook into the other lights in the trailer harness. If you say your's is hooked up that way without issues yiu would be the only one able to do so. The putco instructions wouldn't have you pull the tail lights out if it weren't necessary.

I hate vehicle wiring that's why I didn't want to do it myself.

This is only possible if your truck does not detect the presence of a trailer. If it detects a trailer, it always thinks the Putco light bar is a trailer so it always tells you that a trailer is attached.
If your truck DOES detect trailers, you can wire the Reverse, Ground, and 12v+ wires to the trailer wiring. You must wire the tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals into the truck's tail lights in the fenders.
Note that if you have LED taillights, and all trucks with BLIS do, you must cut the red wire on the Putco light bar and wire it to the 12v+ wire of the trailer wiring, and jumper a pair of wires under the dash to power the 12v+ wire. Alternatively, you can run a separate 12v+ wire from the battery back to the Putco light bar.
