Never seen a single start switch crack in an XLT.

Just got a used 2018, button is broken. Is there a way to do it yourself?

To R&R Push Button Start Switch:
  1. Pull down the front panel under the steering column.
  2. Disconnect electrical connectors.
  3. Remove push button switch from panel.
  4. Install new switch.
  5. Reconnect electrical connectors.
  6. Reposition panel.

Thanks, came across a YouTube video where the guy removed the radio to remove the button.....that put me right off! Is that panel below the steering column held by clips?

When you say covered by warranty. I assume since I am just outside 36k/3years my cracked button will not be covered?

I had a 2017 and the button cracked in it at approximately 9k miles. It was replaced under warranty.
