Thinking you could use a dremel or something and do some cutting to open up the area in front of the camera

Protection from what? The best protection is just to avoid running into stuff.

If you are planning on driving though heavy brush, I wouldn't advise using and scratching up a new '15 or '16 truck at all.

And, if you do run into something substantial I would think that these would likely increase damage, by forcing the top of the bars into the hood, grill and radiator and the additional leverage from the impact twisting the bumpers and frame more than they would be damaged without.
Parking and garage space would be reduced with the extended length.
These would certainly reduce your useable payload and mileage.
If you want them just for the looks, go ahead.

Now THAT is Bad-***! I like it a lot! Only problem is, it sticks out too far for me to pull into the garage, LOL

Had it done at a garage, need to remove the entire front bumper to install, took about an hour and a half

Does anyone know if there is a relocation bracket with a wire harness extender available for the front camera. It could probably be moved to almost any pushbar that way with a little modification.
