Protecting Navigation Card
So the wife brought up a good point. The Nav card is so easily accessible and can be easily stolen. Anyone that gets in your car could easily take it... Oil Change, Valet, General Service, etc. What's everyone's thoughts on keep it protected. They seem have a significant value and not something easily/cheaply replaced. Do you just have to take it with you when you leave your car for something? I'm thinking more in cases of valet.

I get that you are notified. But after it is gone, it's just a hassle of raising hell that it was stolen. I would have thought Ford would have put this somewhere else that isn't in plain view.
When starting up the vehicle you are immediately notified that the disc is not present. I do not plan to ever remove the disc for reasons other than upgrading the version. Speaking of upgrading the version, perhaps an A6 disc holder can post the image somewhere for A5 disc holders to upgrade for free!!

But think about it, that logic applies to almost anything that's not bolted or glued down. Furthermore, manufacturers have been using navigation CD's. DVDs, or SD cards for quite some time. I've personally owned vehicles that has used all three (of course not at the same time) and I never once felt the need to remove upon exit of the vehicle.

I've owned Audi, Acura, and BMWs that used Navigation DVDs. You'll be fine!
