Question programming keyless ignition

Has any body sucessfully programmed an extra "keyless" fob for an F150 Limited?
My manual supposedly has instructions for this but it doesn't seem to make sense.
It says;
1. "Place the first programmed key in the backup slot (A) in the center console. then press the pushbutton ignition switch. Insert the first previously programmed coded key into the ignition."
THIS IS WHERE I GET LOST. i DON'T HAVE A KEY TYPE KEY AND THERE'S NO PLACE TO PUT IT IF I HAD ONE. I have a second "keyless" fob.

and a little further down it says;
3. "Remove the intelligent access key. Switch the ignition off and remove the first coded key from the ignition"
The only way I can "remove" a key from the ignition is to walk 100+ feet away from the truck.

I think my manual was an early printing and they forgot to proof read it. If somebody could post the correct instructions it would be greatly appreciated

Pull up the rubber mat by the USB ports. That's where the key goes for programming. You will see the cut out for it.

Thumbs up

Thanks, that's whole lot different than what's printed in the manual. Now I just need to order a couple new "keys" and try it out.

Edit: for those who find this thread first, here's the correct programming procedure for a 2016 Lariat (and likely all higher trims). Many Thanks to /u/Jack-B-Quick for putting this up:

1. Put all three by the shift lever in order for easy identification and accessibility.
1.5 Open and shut the door, with the vehicle off to cycle the power

2. Place the first programmed key in the backup position
...3. Press Start\Stop button
...4. Count to three full seconds (one one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand)
...5. Pressed Start\Stop button

6. Swap first programmed key with second programmed key (quickly, no more than 3-4 seconds)
...7. Press Start\Stop button
...8. Count to three full seconds
...8.5 Press Start/Stop button*

9. Swap second programmed key with the un-programmed key (quickly)
...10. Press Start\Stop button
...11. Door locks will cycle and dashboard will light up if successful

12. Press one of the newly programmed remote keys (locks/trunk/tailgate) to verify operation

* On 8.5, the original post did not inclue this, but I'm 95% certain that I pressed start/stop a second time. The keys should probably be placed with the buttons up, but some people suggest that if this doesn't work you might try it with the buttons down.

I find it incredulous that, for vehicles that come with Sync 3, there isn't a "program new key" screen under settings with a single button that says "program".
