Has anyone had this done yet? I’m having it done Monday the 19th. Updates the SYNC software? I haven’t had any issues but my service guy said it will update my navigation system as well!

Beware of SYNC "updates." If it ain't broke it could easily be after one.

Update! Had re-call done on 8/19. Took less than an hour and all is well. I have 49K now and I asked the service mgr. about my cam phasers. He said we noticed you have an auto-stop eliminator (which they re-installed!) and as long has you do frequent oil changes you’ll have no issues. He said most of the phaser issues are caused by the auto stop/start.(just an FYI)

Angry Updated done today: black screen after update...

I was contacted yesterday by local dealer to have it done via mobile tech. The tech came out, completed the update, and left. I checked the vehicle 10 minutes later, and the Sync screen shows the Ford logo for a few seconds and then black. The mobile tech came back out but could not get it working.

I was having NO issues with Sync prior to this, but the dealer said I would have issues if I didn't do the update!

The mobile tech said to check it in the morning, and if still not working, they will open a ticket and likely have to replace the APIM.

Anyone else have bad experience with 24B47?

100% totally agree! Mine works just fine on my 2017 and I’m not going to mess around with it...... I honestly have visions of some disaster happening while updating sync!
