Default Private Offers and Ordering

I'm confused. I've been to several dealers with both answers... Can a private offer be locked in when ordering a truck. One dealer says they can, another says they can't. Does anyone know the truth? On an XLT with a 2.7 with financing, I'm getting rebates of $6000 from one dealer and $7300 from another.

Thanks,

Matt

Private cash expires. A few posts have said the dealer lockrdit, but that is the exception.

You can lock it. I'm not sure what the confusion is...when I ordered I called the IPP program headquarters myself and walked my dealer through it (The guide I've attached says 2011 but nothing had changed in 2016 when I called). I've got private cash good until 7/9/18...whether I decided to order and '18 before the order banks close is the question.
