Default Price Increase?

I have been looking at new trucks, a RCSB, XLT, 4x4, 5.0 in particular. I found one local and the window sticker shows the base msrp at $36,725 but when I build the same truck on the Ford website the same truck has a base msrp of $38,720.00.
Has there been a recent price increase? $2000.00 in the same model year seems like a lot.

What is costing more between the one you built and the dealer lot one?

You need to compare options side by side to figure out what's different. One thing that COULD be different would be a package discount that might have been offered, on the sticker, for the one made already and not offered going forward. Might be different, put them side by side to compare.

The Ford site rolls the price of the engine upgrade option into the base price while the actual sticker lists it separately. The V8 is a $1995 option.

Sorry my initial post was a bit vague, what I should have said is the actual base price on the window sticker versus the actual base price on the Ford build page, same exact base truck. The options and discounts are spelled out pretty clearly.

The build page still shows the 2018 which technically could not be built so I was wondering if the base price may have been updated for 2019 pricing but even still a $2000.00 increase would be significant, especially on a regular cab truck.

Yep, that is the difference. I just went to the build site and the engine option is priced in as base. The window sticker adds it as an option.
Thank you sir.

Ford increases their prices several times each model year, so you can have two identical trucks on the lot built months or even just days apart and have a different price.
