Premature Rust
OP - After reading your post I thought here's another guy complaining about a tiny bit of surface rust...then I seen the pictures. You defiantly have more rust than what's normal, every new truck I've bought has a bit of rust on the rear dif etc...I just spray some WD-40 or any kind similar product to help prevent further rust.
Being that these trucks sit high you're able to see underneath and to see rust like that I wouldn't be too happy!

Guys. Maybe I am getting old. Reading through all the posts here. 95% of you guys can't be taken serious and I am wondering if FORD has some "fake" accounts and posts comments like: "Don't worry..." / "Yeah mine looked like the same..." etc. B.#. Look at the pictures.

The part with the sticker: They honestly put a sticker on a ****ty rusted piece of chunk and FORD's QC let it go through. (If FORD ever had a QC!?)
I would give FORD a ton of trouble to replace the rusted parts or exchange the truck. I seriously can't believe that customers / members let FORD go through with that B.#. on quality.
To the OP. Send the pictures to FORD and CC your dealer and ask for a replacement. If you live up NORTH you are getting in serious rust problems in the next 2 winters. And if you think to trade it in. I am 1,000% sure your dealer will point out the rust and give you much less for your truck than a "normal" looking one.
Some of you guys must work for FORD or print money in the basement! My 2 cent!

Definitely dont do either of those. I will take pictures of the underside of my dads 2015 when I get home from work. Same region as OP (5 minutes away) in a snowy super salty Maryland, it will look about the same.

Absolutely it was! the pictures clearly show signs of being driven on salty roads and not washed off right after. You can see it with the amount of rust and by looking at the aluminum heat shields which clearly show salt corrosion. There is no way it left the factory looking like that.
Rust is a huge problem here in Maine due to the roads. My 1999 F150 that I traded in had a frame that was quite rusty. I was afraid my spare tire was going to fall off because the cross piece on the frame that holds it was half gone. You can blame Ford all you want, but no vehicles made today will survive driving on salty roads without some rust showing up. My bosses 2015 Tahoe has quite a bit of rust showing on the chassis.
Having said all that, I still think a truck with 200 miles on it shouldn't look like that but I believe it's the dealers fault for letting someone drive it in salty conditions and then not washing it immediately afterwards. When I bought my 2015 in October there was no rust on any part of the chassis and I had it sprayed with Fluid Film before winter. So far, still no signs of rust.

The time to notice this stuff is before you even drive it home.
The time to prevent this rust is the day you drive it home.
Rattle can any unpainted parts, POR15 any rusted ones. then apply oil/grease. Any oil will have some positive effect, the thicker the better in most areas. Fluid film is one of the better ones, white lithium grease is easy to find in a spray can anywhere, Maxima chain wax sprays out very thin and then becomes thick like the cosmoline stuff your brake rotors come in when new - works well in folded seams and inner doors etc. Even aluminum will corrode, especially where folded or if it rubs anything.
Retreat salt spray areas yearly.
I keep my vehicles forever, so I learned the hard way after many tries

Some of the pictures have parts that look like they missed their final plating or painting process. My 2012 has 4 winters in Iowa, 115k miles of driving, and some of the areas in the OP photos are worse than my truck. I'd argue that there were some processes skipped on that truck.
From the pics and posts I've seen on forums in the last few years it appears to me that Ford is applying less paint to the underside of newer F150's.
My 2004 still looks better than many newer truck undersides posted.
Even before I moved to the salt belt, I always had my vehicles undercoated. Proper undercoating reduces interior noise and also protects from rust.
