Default Advice on White Wrap?

Hey guys! Considering wrapping my Lariat satin pearl white (1080-SP10) with a gloss black metallic roof (1080-G212). I may use matte deep black (1080-M22) for the sport styling mentioned later in the post.

I have the Lariat Chrome Package with the chrome rims, bumpers, etc.. I want to achieve the "Sport" styling, such as body colored bumpers, black grille and mirror caps, etc.

Now, I like the lariat rims, but can anyone chime in on the thought of powder coating them? I could either powder coat them black or wrap them? Any suggestions? This isn't meant to look cheap, but at the same time I don't really want to buy new rims just for this.

Also, does anyone have suggestions on different wrap thoughts? Such as changing the roof to match the sport styling?

Thanks guys!

Could anyone post some pics of similar 15+ F150s if you know of any. I can't find any.

The post was originally gonna ask for pics. But I decided to ask for advice instead. Can a mod please change my title to "Advice on Wraps?" Thank you.

Interesting, the blue really shows; must be because the pic is edited. I think I like it, I'm just trying to figure out if the truck will fit in the garage now

Thanks for your reply!

What do you guys think? Would it look a bit trashy on a F-150? I can't tell.. I can see this coming out either really awesome or really terrible.. 60+ hours of wrap work is no joke with it haha

Are you going to be doing this yourself?

If you have never done this before, let a professional do it.

Why don't you just plasti dip the truck matte white and see if you like it. If you don't, it peels right off and it's cheaper than wrapping it.

I'm doing it more or less because I want the project. I will have someone who's done it before helping me. Cost isn't a big deal. I'm pretty set on wrapping it; plasti-dip is cool but I don't want to do it to the truck.

The wrap will be temporary, so if I'm not completely satisfied with it, no big deal. I would just hate to *hate* it after so much work. Not a huge fan of the white F-150s because I think they sometimes look like work trucks... but that's why I think that if I go with a satin pearl white, it will be a more "unique" white. My brother thinks it would look tacky, but after seeing some pics of the satin pearl white wrap in use, I think it would look cool (at least with some black accents).

If you think standard white looks like a work truck, even a pearl white is likely going to look like a work truck unless you're close enough to see the pearl aspect to it. Then if the lighting isn't right it may also look like a regular white paint job..

I personally wouldn't go through all the trouble just to make it pearl white, given that you aren't a fan of white in the first place.

I should rephrase it, I love the white color, I just think that the typical gloss white paint job looks a bit like a work truck (by that I mean you just see it everywhere on both cheap and expensive trucks). Do you think that perhaps through the sport styling, including the white and black wraps extending to the bumper, this could be avoided? Also would have a black roof.

I see what you're saying and that's actually what I want. I don't want too much "pearl." Matte arctic white would be my second choice. It's just that typical gloss white that throws me off a bit. Black rims and sport styling should do it?
