Default Possible leak

Hey guys, so I just got back from a week long vacation and we’ve had rain. This may be normal but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this. Inside the doors like on the painted part there was a decent amount of water. Which I guess is inevitable but the reason I want to double check is because a little bit of water got on the plastic step part and under this plastic piece which then leaked under that and is just sitting in a spot that is hard to explain. I’ve circled it in the picture. It was all just water that ran down the channel of the weather stripping but is that normal after a big storm? None of it got on the carpet.

My 13 I noticed this because I took that panel off but haven't bothered to check any newer trucks.

did it normally drain out of your 13, or did it become a problem??

Never became an issue, I only noticed it when I was tapping into the wire harness there.
