sorry but this is just getting rediclious, takes 5 min to get past freezing , long running script, popups. tired of all the ads, especially trying to sell me the same things I purchased the other day. this forum is really great but all the ads really make it suck. not enjoyable. f150 . net don't have the information but you don't sit for so long starting, freezing ,unresponsive

Or ad blocking extensions on browsers. I don't have any of the issues you mentioned. No pop ups. No slow running script.

Too funny! I've been wanting to post this myself! For years I've been reading this site without being registered. I registered last month (?) and the adds started!!! I keep having to kill Firefox because it is so slow, if I have this page up.

I love the information here, and to be quite honest I normally browse with a "New Private Window" (Firefox thing, New Incognito on Chrome), because I don't get the adds forced in my face, or having to restart my PC. If you're logged in, you seem to get bombarded with adds.

I was having similar issues on my desktop PC - but it always got better once I logged in - I think there are less ads while logged in.

Then I added Adblock to my Chrome browser - it made an even bigger difference.


I never have any speed issues when viewing the desktop site via my iPhone though.

My only complaint is the new "questions box" on the bottom right that recently started showing up.

I don't mind ads - I get the site won't pay for itself otherwise, but they need to not be obtrusive to the content or affect performance or you'll do more harm then good as people will go elsewhere (or people will do things like I did and block them) - something I wouldn't normally have done if it didn't performance or content.

Let me clarify, I can deal with adds on the right side of the page, but it threw me for a loop when I saw peoples "Signature Lines" populated with pharmaceutical adds and other things. I first thought these people worked for the companies, but no, just adds injected by the site.

I understand the site needs add funds to be sustainable, but this is the first I've been on that goes this far.
