2012 5.0 whats with the ac **** poor not very cold. i put in a can of refridgerant last year.didn't help. i guess my 01 silverado spoiled me that truck was to cold.

 

You could have too much pressure in the system.

 

Dirty cabin air filter?? Condenser dirty?? I used to judge Freon level by feeling the condenser and fill till it was warm almost to the bottom. Not good to overfill. If you have gauges and the Freon level is fine, all clean, check high and low pressure to see if its within the recommended ranges. Also make sure the mixer doors(?) are working correctly, ones that direct flow to/from heater core or evaporator. If they are not moving all the way you may be only partially pulling from the evaporator. All I can think of.

 

They are just not as cold as older trucks for some reason. My little ranger is so cold the dash sweats and drips condensation. It will spoil you in the summer time. 100 degrees outside and like a freezer in the truck, lol..

 

Sounds like the O.P. has something wrong,
my 2018's a/c will freeze your ***** off, my 2015 would as well.

 

2012 that is so old, it might be just getting worn out.
