Default Plug n play tune

I’m hoping to pick up a 2015 cot 5.0 v8 today and was looking at getting the most out of the motor, primarily for towing. I’m planning on fitting a cold air intake which would be the only other mod than the tune. I can’t be bothered with programmable tuners and downloading flash maps, I just want a good solid plug-in play obd chip.
So what do people recommend?
So far the best option I’ve seen is from chipyourcar.com but I really would value the input from forum members. I only ever run 91 octane and I’m in CA (the hot part). Thanks

Forget the cold air intake. The F150 factory intake is a cold air intake from the get go. Going aftermarket will give you some sound, no additional horse power, and relieve your wallet of some of your hard earned cash. Can't help on the tune front.

My kn air intake gave me slightly better throttle response, some mid range go.

That said, unless you plan to get a tune, aftermarket air intakes are just a waste of money.

I'd remove my air intake kit, but i'm just too lazy.

Butt-dyno's are notoriously inaccurate.

check out SCT performance, many tunes to choose from. you plug it into your OBD port and let it program. an aftermarket cold intake will provide a better look under the hood and some sound. but only a 10-15 HP increase at most. with a uner it might provide a slightly higher gain. but that will very for every CAI out there

Buy a 3.5 ecoboost if you want a better tow rig. The 5.0 will do the job; a 3.5 eco will make it look easy in comparison.

Leave in OBD plug in "chips" are generally not as good as the programmers you plug in, flash the pcm/tcm with a custom program, and remove. If you want a meaningful improvement, go with the custom programming from someone like 5Star.
