I'm a new 2016 F150 XLT owner. I have been searching these threads for about a week now. Just wanted to confirm two items.
1. The only way to disable the auto start/stop feature is to switch the transmission to tow mode?
2. The only way to keep the fog lights on all the time involves rewiring the switch myself?

Thanks

1. Or push the auto start stop off button.
2. If you mean on with the high beams, yes, you must wire it differently yourself.

For the fog lights on with the high beams, please review the ForScan sticky thread.

doing a hard rewire will void your warranty on all lighting and possibly all electrical. If you want to make the change you want, use ForScan. It took me all of 5 seconds.

1) No. There is a thread where people put in a jumper. That's because pushing a button is too hard for them, and they don't like saving gas...

I must be retarded. Did not know what that button was for. I totally missed that part in the manual.

Thanks for the heads up about ForScan. Will check it out. What I really want to do is have the fog lights turn on automatically when I turn on the headlights.

The fogs come on with the headlights on mine when set to auto. I don't know if it's different on something other than a Platinum or trim with the auto headlights.

Same here. Once I urn them on when the headlights are on in auto mode they continue to come on and off with the headlights until I turn them off again.

But they go off when you use high beams. There's another option for the start stop. You learn to manipulate it with the brake pressure. It's really not hard, and you have complete control over when and if it turns off. Lift a little and and you can have it running again before the light turns green while you're still stopped.
