Default Picked up 2016 yesterday and weighed it!!

Coming from a 2013 5.0 supercab I couldn't wait to get my new 2016 super crew 3.5 Sport. Had my salesman search for over 3 weeks to find exactly what I wanted and got a call this past Thursday and he told me he found one and could have it ready Saturday. I or course said lets do it.

2016 XLT Sport super crew, Oxford white, FX4 package, 5.5 ft bed, 3.5 ecoboost, 3.55 locker, 20 inch wheels with the panoramic sun roof and 36 gallon tank. I lease my trucks and I feel I got a great deal. May consider keeping this one but who knows. I absolutely love this truck!

My dad has a 2014 150 that has the same options as mine but he doesn't have the sun roof or FX4 package. We took our trucks today to our local grain elevator and put them on the scale. Mine with a little over 3/4 of a tank weighed in at 5280 pounds. His with half of a tank tipped the scales at 5940 pounds. We left and took the express way home and getting on the ramp we took off to 75 mph and when we got home he said I was just pulling away from him. It will be fun this spring to take them to Milan dragway and see what happens.

The only thing I'm going to do is order a tune and leave it at that. I'm really thinking of MPT but I'm also going to check out Livernois. Anyway that's all I have to say for now way to go Ford!!!!!

Looks nice. How does the Eco feel compared to your old 5.0?

I love those 20" rims, wished Id took a little more time and searched more before purchasing mine but I hit a deer in my 2003 Silverado and had limited time to search. Also wish mine had the larger gas tank, but other then that I love my F150!

It's a night and day difference. My dad has the 3.5 in his 14 and my 13 with the 5.0 couldn't keep it if the trucks life depended on it. The 3.5 ecoboost motors are very impressive. I did test drive a 2016 5.0 and I know they have more power but to both my dad and I who was with me agreed the 3.5 felt stronger. The torque is just awesome. Can't wait to tune it!

Yes I agree. I had 4 must haves while searching for my truck. 3.5eb, 20" wheels, 36 gallon tank and minimum 3.55 locker. Blue flame was first choice Oxford white second.

Can you take a picture or post the GVWR and payload to see how close it comes to actual curb weight.

Any way you could get weights of both trucks and have the weight for front and rear? I am curious where the weight loss was. My guess is the rear lost the most weight...
