I know I can’t be the only one!

2 years ago I took my 2017 F150 to ford for the phaser rattle. Ford worked on it and the rattle went away until last month. I finally got in to see Ford this week to find out I am past the deadline on Jan23.

also found out the didn’t replace the phasers last time. They only did something with the computer/timing to hide the issue (@ approx 35000 miles)

Now over 80000 miles I am going to eat the cost.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any recommendations?

 

They followed the process, Ford corporate gave you extended warranty on them until 70,000 to make the noise and fail. You also passed the date of expiration on the extended warranty. That is how warranties work, they have a date and mileage, you exceeded both, and now you pay for the fix.
