Default Performance muffler advice needed

Discovered this web site today, so here is my first question. Just bought a new 2015 F150 with 3.5L Eco Boost. My last one, a 2005 F150 with 4.6 V8 was a great truck and even better after I added a MagnaFlow muffler only (not a cat back). Power improved noticeably. On the new 2015, would a MagnaFlow muffler improve pickup and power to the extent it would be worth the cost, or is it not necessary with the Eco Boost engine? BTW, on the 2005 I first added a K&N Air filter but the real improvement was when I got the MagnaFlow. Any comments are appreciated. Great web site BTW.

I bought the MF muffler already...haven't put it on yet. I'm starting to think it might not be loud enough.

You will get more sound than power, the stock muffler isn't much of a restriction. Sometimes sound gives the illusion of more power! I would look up sound clips/videos and buy what you feel sounds the best.

A more free flowing muffler won't give you much if any performance increase. If you replace the entire system front to back with you'll have a bit of of bump.

Don't have any experience with sound differences from muffler swaps on EB's but it did make a definite change in sound with my 5.0. From vids I noticed the EB's muffler swaps seemed to be more raspier than stock.
