Post Performance Chips

Has anybody used those OBDII performance chips? I see them for $40-$100 online everywhere. They are plug & play and are supposed to give you performance and efficiency. I realize they most likely are not as good as a tune, but do they have any value? Or just a scam?

Im gonna say there a bust, and maybe even unsafe for your electrical system. I'd stick with a reputable company, with proven results.

Performance chips were used regularly a number of years ago. Old technology, I'd avoid them...but don't go by me. I recommend avoiding performance tuners also.

The tunes are where it's at for the new motors with your engine, the 3.5 Eco benefitting the most from a tune. Even a conservative time would yield 50 hp and 80+ torque. A performance tune could get your truck to run 12 sec 1/4 miles with only a tune. Pretty amazing...

You're not getting performance and efficiency on a 6" lift with 60lb tires. Your motor puts out 365hp and 420tq from the factory. Leave it alone
