Default Patches on inner bed shell

Is it normal to have these patches on inner body section of the bed? I noticed these other day and wanted to get others input on this. The picture is from underneath truck looking at the gas filler neck. I also have these patches on other sections of bed. Same patches on opposite / other side as well as the rear corners. It appears to have been done by factory beings the patches have a date stamped on them 04/12/16 and my truck build date is 04/22/16.
