On my 2019 F150, behind the 'drivers side' mirror glass there are 2 metal tangs attached to the mirror glass, one on the left and one on the bottom. On my passenger side there are NONE. Trying to see if this is correct or not. You can easily see them by tilting the mirrors in two directions. My truck has the side mirror blinkers, heated mirrors, no BLIS.
These are both passenger mirrors. The one on the right is just a standard mirror, the one on the left is defrost. Neither have the metal tabs. I put one on and laid the other one so you can see it. I'm guessing they are on the drivers mirror to help with vibration but not on the passenger, not sure why.
I have all these mirror parts because I am an idiot and broke both my mirrors backing up within a week of each other. Then I decided I wanted to add power folding mirrors so now I have even more mirror parts! I'm hoping I can put together 1 complete mirror that I can resell with all these parts!

Awesome! Thank you very much! One day I'll do the power folding mirror mod. Unless you can find them used they are waaaay too expensive.
I'll probably add these tabs to my completed passenger mirror lol.
I got both of mine for around $150 each off ebay. All of the parts from non power fold swap to the power fold including glass and wiring assuming you already have the 22 pin connectors. So if the power fold mirrors don't have the exact options as your mirrors you can piece them together. I had to remove some wires and add them to the power fold mirrors for the spotlights that my mirrors had, but it's not too difficult.

Does Ford sell those metal tabs? I look at an online catalog and nothing is mentioned.
