This is between the Cab and the Bed of my truck. 2015 with 55k miles. It seems like an odd spot to have paint peeling, but any thoughts on what I should do to have this fixed? I'm not too worried on the looks, but don't want it to keep peeling.
I can't tell from the picture of what it is that I am looking at, but there are two rubber flaps on the back of the cab to allow the release of air pressure when you close the doors. It appears that they are attached with an adhesive at the top. One of mine was peeling back shortly after I got my 2019 last year. Dealer reglued it the best they could without removing the box for access. I added a another strip of black RTV sealer along the top of mine the best I could to maybe divert water from getting behind there. Several members here have found water damage in the rear of their cabs from water leaking in. That MIGHT be what you are looking at?
Thank you all for the responses so far. Here is a picture for point of reference and some additional pictures. Looking at it from a different angle, it does actually seem like a large piece of tape over one of those "mounds" or "outdents" (Not sure what the terminology is). Underneath the "Tape" does not seem to be painted and is almost an off white. Is that supposed to be there?
Yeah thats seem sealer that has separated. And looks like foam insulation on the inside. I'd check for water intrusion behind the rear seats. Ever notice a funky oder after rain?

This is on the bed side and not the cab. Sorry its not clear in the pictures.
