Hi Everyone!

Does anybody know of anyone in California (LA Area) who can paint my LED Headlights. I have the chrome one's. I've been looking through the forum and haven't been able to find anyone local.

I don't just want to take them to a random shop.

Maybe it's on this forum but, I just can't seem to find it.

Chances are very slim that you'll find someone local who feels comfortable opening and re-sealing the lights to paint them. Most retrofit shops are willing and able to do the work, so you might check your local area for people who do that kind of work.

 

If you looking to have them black you can buy them from Ford and then sell yours in the classifieds........they won't last long.


I have LEDs on my truck and would never open them up, they are way to expensive to take a chance and you will void your warranty. Lights assemblies do go bad; I just had one of my BLIS taillights replaced under warranty and would have hated if I had to pay for that one.

 

Ford can and will find a way to void a warranty if they want to, no matter what the case. That same logic can be used for not changing your own oil, which I feel most of us would rather do. I say have fun with the truck, relax, and if something breaks fix it!

 

I honestly would buy the new ones, if your just wanting the chrome painted black! You can get brand new SE led heads from ford, just under 1300.00.

Youll just need to swap over or buy the 2 ballasts, and 2 bottom mounts from your current leds.
