P06dd
Question on a P06DD PCM code: Does the PCM simply switch ground to control the oil pressure control solenoid or is there more to it?
I've replaced my oil pressure sensor and control solenoid with genuine parts, and worked through the Ford Workshop diagnostic manual for P06DD. I still get the P06DD under load and over 3k RPM. Forscan data logging seems to confirm low stage oil pressure when PCM should be requesting high stage, and thus the code. I guess im trying to better understand how the PCM works to determine if it's bad or not ($$).
One step in the workshop manual says to disconnect a connector from PCM and check for voltage on harness connector for solenoid. Should be 0. I see 2.2V, but it bleeds down to 0V over a minute or two. Not sure how to interpret that?
