Default P0234 and a mild tune...

I have a 2018 F150 with the 2.7L. I havent done anything stupid to my truck in a while so I figured I was due. LOL. I broke down and decided to get a tune for the truck. So I went to Stage 3 Motorsports and bought the BullyDog Tuner that accepts custom tunes. To get the custom tunes, I had to connect the BullyDog, to the vehicle, and get the PCM information to send in to get the proper tune. They say I should get the tunes in 4-5 days. In the mean time the BullyDog tuner came with a preloaded 87 octane performance tune, so I loaded it up (What could possibly go wrong?) Nice thing is it disable the auto start/stop, and allowed me to change my tire size in the PCM. So I took the truck out and wanted to give it a good romping, as I did. First seemed to have more wheelspin, and I actually got some rubber in 2nd, with 33x12.5 tires, then it fell on its face and the CEL came on. Pulled the fault and it was P0234: Turbocharger Overboost. Now I know this was a generic tune. The Custom tune will be from 5 Star tunes, and it will be a 93 octane performance tune which is supposed to add 60hp and 100 lbft of torque. So Im sure there is going to be some increase in boost pressure to get those numbers. Will the custom tune, re-map the PCM to ignore the new boost levels? Would have thought the generic tune would have done this too, but I guess not. Anyone have any insight on this???

Also I cleared the fault and drove the truck hard again and the P0234 returned.

I would think their custom tune would be much better than the generic tune!! I would let them know what happened on their Can tune and see what they say!
