I just picked up a new 2020 Lariat, and noticed that there appears to be small round lights in the overhead console. 2 of them facing the back of the truck, and 1 on each side of the console facing the driver and passenger sides. They do not light up when opening the doors, and I cannot find a way to turn them on. I have looked in the owners manual, and there are pictures of the console with these (lights?) shown. But it does not say anything about them. Are they in fact lights, or something else?

Thanks guys, I just went out to take a picture in the daylight, and they are apparently the intrusion sensors. They looked like lights to me when the truck was parked in the garage, but out in the sun they look like the pictures in the link provided by SSellers. Thank you for your quick response. My last XLT did not have these.

You bet. I had already typed up a post about the naughty little button that turns off the door open map light on function then said wait, there's no map lights that point backwards on the console.
