Default Overhead console

I have a 2018 rcsb with the xlt package. I have been searching to see what it would take to add an overhead console. I know you would have to modify the headliner. I have seen this conversion on a truck that had the lariat and above trim conversion. I'm wondering if it is worth it on not. Thanks

If you only have that little spot lights and mic your whole headliner will need to be replaced to get the console version. There was a thread a whiiiiiiiiiile ago where someone with an XL like mine wanted the console and that's as far as it got. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Its one of these.

Did this on my 2014 STX SCAB a couple years ago. Wanted the rear power window instead of the solid glass panel. Said switch sat in the overhead on the higher trim trucks that didn't exist on my dome light only truck. The power rear window comes as a kit from Ford with a add-in harness but requires you to punch a rather large hole in the dash somewhere and mount this oval switch that looks like they ripped it out of a tenth gen F150 - didn't like that idea obviously. Ordered a tan XLT headliner out of a wreck off eBay then redid the material in black. The eBay liner came with the correct wiring harness so it was plug and play.

You'll need the liner out of a higher trim truck and the console obviously. Possible parts include a second dome light assembly (existing one may relocate further back - can't remember on the '14), wiring harness is most likely different (few guys reported harness differences on lower trim trucks and had to source the correct one). The harness differences may include options like the auto dim mirror and lighted sun/vanity mirrors, so don't get worried if there's a few extra plugs that go nowhere. The console might have a mounting bracket you'll need to source and install before hand.

I realize I've typed several "may" and "possibly" sentences, however it comes down to what you end up buying or sourcing. I'm not familiar with the liner in my '18 as I haven't dropped it - yet (future project).
