Default Outside Temp Displayed on 8" Screen?

Hey guys...I just spent the last 45 minutes cruising the Search Button and reading up on FORScan, but couldn't find the answer. I would like to have ambient temperature displayed on the 8" ...eeer...update...4" main display on my 2017 XLT.

When I am using SYNC to run Spotify or other apps, the outside temperature is no longer visible. What would be cool is to have the outside temp displayed on the main 8" screen. I am sure someone knows how to do this, but I can't seem to find it.

Sorry if this has been hammered out here before.

I would be interested in this also for my wife’s 2017 F150 XLT, 302a trim.

With FORScan, I was able to add the temp to the the info screen on my 2016 F350 Platinum. First I had to find a truck that had it, then I played around until I found it the setting and added that setting to my F350.

So now the obvious question, does anyone have the temp in their Center display? If yes, can we get the VIN to to look it up in etis or at least the model (XL, XLT, etc.j and trim level.

Thanks in advance!

It shows up on all 4" screens. I don't know about the 8" screens.

Agreed! My XLT has the temp in the Center "Sync" screen, but not in the 8" speedo/tach cluster display so the signal is coming into the car, we just need to redirect it to the cluster.

So your XLT has an 8" gauge display? My understanding is that to get the 8" gauge display, you had to go Lariat or higher. I have the 8" sync display and a 4" gauge display in my 302a XLT.

Sorry, I meant the info screen between the tach and speedo.

@ mkraffert, thanks, I will look at XL’s and see if I can find it.

The only place that the temp is displayed on F150's is the center infotainment screen....there is no setting with FORScan to activate it on the cluster because it was never a factory option on our trucks

Yes...mine works as yours does, but when I run Android Auto as the host program, the outside air temp gets wiped out.

I think I misspoke above, my XLT does, indeed, have a 4" display.
