Default Outside Air Temp Sensor

Does anyone know where ‘this sensor is located. Mine seems to lock up and read the same constant temp. It requires going into systems and turning it off and back on in order to read current temp.

Mine does that every so often, too. It will get stuck on a certain reading for a couple drive cycles, then magically start working again. No rhyme or reason to it.

Mine did the same. Took it to the dealer. They recalibrated it. Hasn't acted up since. Been a year and a half now

Does anyone know how difficult it would be to add this to a 2014 xl? Is it like the cruise control where if you add the buttons the computer just needs it programmed? Or isn't it included and available on all trucks?

Is this the center stack in your truck?

I know the Sync systems all have an ambient temp display in the main screen. My son's 2010 Fusion has a fluorescent screen like in the image, also a Sync system, with an amb temp indicator.

Few threads on it in the 09-14 section like mine I did on my 2010. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/2010-s...39749/index13/ From what I remember it was difficult on 12-14 MY trucks.

No mine was the base xl stereo, no sync that I know of. Thanks for the link I’ll look into it. Was just kind of wondering if it was plug and play or more involved.
