Went to the dealer last night and put order in, thank you all for the help and the great threads. This is a great community we have here even though I dont post a whole lot lol.

Ordered a SE Lariat, 502A, shadow black, EB, Sport. Build date is 12/16.

Haven't ordered a vehicle since my '03 Cobra, feel like a kid waiting for a red ryder BB gun

Congrats on the order, now the wait begins, my 17 took 77/79 days to show up.

Rebates aren't great right now. Good thing is by the time my truck comes in January if there are any new/better rebates I'll get them. I don't see them getting too much better so I decided not to wait. Dealer gave me a pretty good deal that I was happy with.

First order of business will be peeling those hideous decals off.

With a custom order, can you just ask they not be put on? saves Ford money.

Hmmm I never thought about that. I may call my salesman and throw that at him. He never mentioned anything when I told him I didn't want them on it.

No you can't. And it doesn't save Ford money. Those stickers probably cost Ford a dime. The paper work to accomplish a oneoff would be way more than it's worth to Ford.

How did you get a VIN and build date on the same day you ordered the truck?

I was going to ask the same thing. Build date is probably a dealer given estimated date. No way that came from Ford.

They had the SE lariat ordered already and just modified that order to what I wanted. I did not get a VIN number.
