Opt7 tow package module for light bars

This thread should probably go in the product review category but since it only applies to 2015+ F-150s with smart tow I thought I'd post it here.
As anyone who has tried to put an LED light bar under the tailgate knows doing so on the 15+ models requires wiring to your tail lights or it shuts off the BLIS and turns on the rest of the tow package crap including accumulated trailer towing miles.
Well Opt7 is advertising a product that is supposed to eliminate all the issues. Since my wife was buying me their light bar for Christmas and it's her money I figured let's see if it works. Here is a link to the product:

Here is my short review. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Now maybe it is defective, the first light bar I got from them was sent back because it didn't work. But as soon as I plugged it and the light bar in I got the same messages you get plugging straight into the 4 way plug. BlIS disabled and trailer connected. The ONLY difference was the trailer stayed connected. Without the module your dash display keeps alternating trailer connected and trailer disconnected.
