I carpool in a brand new Toyota Sienna Van and both rear sliding doors have automatic up/down window switches. You'd think a family vehicle like a mini van wouldn't have it where as a truck would. Anyways, thanks for listening.

Don't know about that, the Lincoln Navigator has auto up/down windows front and rear. It's more about cost.

If it has up and down auto windows then it must (depending on year) have safety sensor to automatically go back down if it contacts something on way up.
Stick an arm in and hit the button.

Stupid kids. I just got my f150 and that's one of the annoyances that this truck has. I came from a 14' BMW 535i and it had one touch for all the widow switches on the drivers door panel.

That's what the front auto window do.

Kids stepping on the switch resulted in two design changes: pressing on the switch results in the window going down, recessing the switch resists accidental activation.

Automatic up/down for the rear is (historically) something you don't really see except in premium trim levels. No idea why it is not available for the F150 when other Fords have them. Maybe they think we don't deserve them?

Yes, DEI still makes window control modules. $50 each, 535T. No switch swap required as the modules have one-touch tap. Does anyone know if the switches directly control the rear motors? If there are any features at all, even overcurrent shutdown, there are modules that will need to be bypassed.

Auto up/down can be achieved by providing a ground signal to the 'ground when armed' / 'auxiliary' inputs.

I'll have to do a bit of research... My 05 mustang's convertible had rear windows that made us hold the button until they were down or up... aftermarket made an inline adapter that would make them operate as one touch.. it just plugged in, between the switch and the rest of the wiring. I find myself wondering if this same unit would work on the back windows of our trucks.

My base model 2013 Ford C-Max had it on all four windows and I spent a lot less on that vehicle than my F150.
