Oil separator, what's a normal amount of oil in the catch can?
I have a 2015 Platinum 3.5L. I installed the JTL V3.0 Oil Separator about 25 days ago. I checked the 3 oz catch can for the first time today and it had about 2 oz in it already. Is this normal or excessive? Wondering if i should be concerned with that much oil in that short of time. I drive on average about 1100 miles/month. I change my synthetic blend oil every 5K. I have no known issues with my truck. Thoughts?

you have bad rings and probably a Cam phaser that is leaking.
sorry - serious response.
the harder you drive (more full throttle, higher RPMS) the more it would catch in a similar time span. Of the cars I have with them I probably dump about 2-3 oz every 3000 miles or so. It's within the realm of reason.

Well guys do what you must but my JLT is maxed out with crap & emptied every 5k oil change. I've got 50k on it & have been running it since I got the truck new. In my case on my truck even my dealer recommended I use it when I showed them the results...
But that's my truck...
