Default Oil separator???

If you install an oil separator does that void your warranty on the Ecoboost engines?

More than likely you will need to fight with Ford to fix a failed motor, yes.

Ford would have to prove that keeping oil OUT OF YOUR INTAKE, somehow harmed the engine.
Having stated that, I have an air / oil separator on my 2017 F150 & my 2014 Shelby GT500..

Ford doesn't have to prove anything. They void your warranty and then YOU have to prove it DIDN'T cause the problem. Catch cans are a useless gimmick on street cars. Race cars run at high RPM constantly are a different story.

Default JLT separator

I run a JLT oil separator on my 2018 5.0 F-150 and it’s been in the shop twice once for timing chain tensioners and second for deceleration rattle. They didn’t even mention the separator and if you’re concerned about it take it off before taking it to the dealer for service.

Default Might be a gimmick

I just installed the JLT kit on my 5.0 with 250 miles on it. I am hoping to get 200k out of this engine, so $150 investment is cheap insurance.

I don't want anything but air going through my intake manifold.

If worried about warranty, as said it would literally take 4 minutes to convert it back to stock.
