Perhaps someone should fix those electrical gremlins? Owners have been saying all sorts of strange stuff happening with their trucks, but they bring to dealers, and what do you all hear, can't replicate, can't duplicate, thats a normal characteristic!

No problem, he has an appointment with Ford service .... on Monday.
I think given all the electronic component problems I have had I am probably due for a fire. Every time I take the truck in, they check for codes. No codes = no problem.

Last time my truck was in the shop, the cameras caught the service guys calling me a MFer, wacked out, ex CIA, "my name says it all." Meanwhile they never actually try to replicate the problem. Plug in the computer...Of course its not going to produce a code the truck thinks its doing the right thing. I watch their test drive footage and they don't try to put the truck into the positions where the truck acts squirrelly.

I think basically every sensor system in my truck has acted up. I hope if I am in a crash the systems to help protect me actually work properly.

You have cameras in your truck to record the service guys?

My adaptive cruise control will brake with oncoming traffic or nothing in front of me. I had the cameras there to record the road and dash board so I can try to relay to the service guys what is going on.

Long story short they service guys never would believe that things were not working, then shortly after I had brought it to their attention a TSB was generated. The adaptive cruise control safety recall came out the day after the Ford Field Service "Engineer" came out and said nothing was wrong. I put cameras in to record when it happens to try and help let them see whats happening to solve the problem.

So I take it in when it acts up and show them the service guy the videos. Well...Its not like they didn't know it records audio and video. And they pull the truck in to test for codes (like the always do) of course it is not going to have codes because the truck thinks it is doing the right thing. So they think I am so paranoid. Paraphrasing what one guy said, but if the sun hit my car the wrong way and the paint looked orange I would complain about the color. Same guy was like "this MFer here" then he said I am out there and my name says it all.

I have basically had errors and issues with every sensor system on the truck. Plus moon roof seal done, back seat foam, hard down shift, seat tsb, new cluster panel.
Yesterday my temp gauge read 31 degrees all day

Was it not 31 degrees all day? (Serious question, I've seen days where the temperature stayed the same all day...)

I had my Adaptive Cruise Control hit the brakes once, lightly, when I went under an electronic toll reader. Other than that, it's been flawless. I drove on 3 different roads for almost 40 miles last night, all without having to touch a single pedal.

Good luck getting yours straightened out!

DraKhen99,

Thanks for the wish of good luck.

My ACC works great if I am following a car. Where it acts up is if I am passing a car, truck, semi. Sometimes as a car in front of me changes lanes my truck will speed up and as I pass the car that changed lanes the truck will brake.

It doesn't happen all the time, which is why I wanted to record the circumstances that it acts up.

On a 200mi road trip it may happen 1 or 2. It really depends how much lane changing I do. I almost think that after the ACC has been for along time, like on a long trip maybe it overheats or does something that causes the problems. Not sure.

In any case, after the safety recall, when the truck brakes now it doesn't seem to be has hard or as long. I think they just turned down the braking. I noticed now too after the recall fix that when I approach a car in front it takes a lot longer before the truck starts to slow down. It almost waits until i am on its bumper before it brakes. Then it brakes to and then will resume speed once it gets the distance it wants instead of gradually slowing when approaching a car in front of me.
