Default Oem wheel interchangeability

Hi Guys,

Quick question (I think the answer is yes), but my F150 came stock with these rims (17x7.5) with 265x70xR17 tires:

Can I put on these rims (20x8.5) with 275x55xR20 without any modification?

Use case is snow tires.

You will want to make sure the second set comes with a set of tpms or buy a set for them. Otherwise deal with the warning about them missing when you have the second set on the truck.

Your speedometer might be off by a little bit, there are calculators online that will tell you by how much.

I went from stock 18s to stock 20s and my speedo was off by about 3mph at 60mph if I remember correctly.

Got the rims, now just gotta get some snow tires to mount.

The deal seemed really too good, $200 for the set of 4.

You can use Forscan to adjust for any variations in tire diameter in any of the factory stock wheel sizes.
I bought a really nice set of 18” sport wheels off the marketplace here for winter treads and chose my tire size to keep the same outside tire diameter to avoid adjusting via Forscan. But it’s not too hard to do.

Those two wheel/tire combination sizes are considered interchangeable by Ford, with no adjustment needed to correct your speedometer. Overall diameter, there's about a 8mm difference between the two. This means that when your speedo reads 60 mph, you'll actually be going 60.6 mph. This is within the error percentage allowance.

Looking good 👍

I always wondered how the factory 17's like those would look powder coated in a different color?
