Did you get diminished value on the truck when they hit you?

I wonder how this would work, can you claim it on this truck anyway?

For a truck this much, you should easily get a couple of thousand even for a small fender bender. I had a scratch on a bumper and negotiated diminished value at almost 2,000 on a previous vehicle.

If the truck was returned to it's original condition, there should be no issues.

Who knows what this dealership was thinking...their loss.

Good luck with the new, new vehicle! I'm assuming you got a free detail on your trade

I did get diminished value. I got $800, a check already written to me by the other party's insurance company.

You even got paid for taking the truck back, lol

That $ can now be used to modify it!

Congrats

basically I already have an extang solid 2.0, husky front and rear mats, hellwig sway bar, and shorty antenna sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. I ordered it all while the other was in the shop so never got a chance to put it all on. Can't wait

Wow, what a great end to this story. Glad things worked out for you...and if I were you, I'd be sure to include the first dealerships name so others in our area could avoid them.
