Thanks for the comments. We live in the rural mountains of Colorado, so even a drive to the store is 30 minutes or more. I had the battery checked at an Optima battery dealer, so they should know how to test, but maybe not. If this battery is truly shot, I will go with a DieHard Platinum.

 

How this guy gets so many followers on YouTube is completely beyond me. I'm a peaceful man, but I have to agree with ripping his arms off and beating him with them.

 

I believe DieHard is still Exide or Clarios junk. If you're going to drop the coin, consider either a Batteries Plus X2Power AGM (manufactured by Northstar) or a Duracell Ultra Platinum (manufactured by Deka/East Penn). Both are high-quality, US-made AGMs.

 

God I can't stand that guy. Didn't eve bother watching the video. As soon as I saw that same photo of him pointing that he re-uses, I just rolled my eyes. Everyone clicking on that video is only making him richer.

 

I love Scotty KIlmer. He's probably the last 100% honest auto mechanic left in the word. He's the No. 1 watched YT car channel in the US for a reason! He's also a Western NY'er (Buffalo / Niagara Falls), so he's kinda my neighbor, LOL

You can think what ever you like but our fleet is nation wide and all US territories so we don't just buy a handful here and there. Over all they are JUNK. there's way too many better lead acid batteries out there, personally I'd love to see Li ion batteries for cars and trucks come down to a price point that makes sense.

I put one in my motorcycle when the 1yo original battery died, that was 10 years ago and it still fires up every time, even after sitting for a month. Heluva lot smaller and weighs 20x less but $$$

 

You have a crap battery. It needs to be replaced. Optimas are known (these days) for dying rapidly.

 

My post #5 told you exactly why you are getting the message, and a couple of suggestions on how to attempt to resolve it. You seem to choose to ignore the advice being given.

 

I got this message when my battery was dying. I replaced the battery. Fixed.
