What did we ever find out with the trailer brake controller? I know Texasfording said it couldn't be done with forscan but I thought I remember lucas or someone saying they could or was close to doing it.
I had gone through the pain of the stealership after I installed mine and had to make a couple diff appointments and ended up taking the path of how to do it through IDS to show them and walk the kid through it to stop wasting my time and $. I seen it in the TrlrBM and mine said ENABLED also the TBM gains or something like that was ENABLED. Can we activate it now or are there other things?

Are you on a '16? There is an extra step that does not apply to 15s and has to do with the gain that you described.

In addition to global Windows and auto fold mirrors I would love to be able to modify the hands on wheel warning. It's way to sensitive. I get that message all the time. Sometimes even when I'm awake

I would ask for some more feed back on how a Android tablet works with Forscan.. If It's as lite as the IOS then it's to lite. What is there in cheap Windows tablets?
I think I'm going to end up using the Win 10 laptop with a BT attachment and the MXBT.. And my Android phone for fault checking/clearing.
Will probably send the Android tablet back to Amizon.
And play with adding the switch to the SX as a backup.

I think it can be done with the latest beta release of forscan. I tried it with 2.3.2 (theres a newer one) and didnt work.

With the BT installed on laptop I should be able to sit on lawn chair next to truck and play around.
I will know more Friday when I get home from cottage and open the package.
Note we started off just wanting to do the simple climate seat setting but as we all learn more about this we learn more about what can be done and what is needed..
Don't make the same mistakes I do, make sure you are getting what will work in the future for your needs.
Note I did none of the hard work on breaking the honk honk.. I only handed JM061's hard work to Lucas8888 to convert to my use with Forscan.. And then I tested it to see if it was broken.. So really my part in this was spending the $25.00 to buy what JM061 had done and was making good money selling to people that than like me had no way to install it on our trucks. As you needed IDS to install it!
Thanks to Lucas8888 you now are getting to do this mod without paying either one. Which I'm still not completely confortable about as far as JM061. But for the public good this has done I and all of you and your neighbors should thank them both!
And please if you park in a attached garage remember to turn the truck off!!

Yes, should be a FORScan thread,then sticky but you guys did the work I'm still pretty knew to this. I got motivated from Livoniabob after seeing how he caught on so fast and a couple weeks ago he thought it was going to be way over his head. Thanks to all you guys for being so willing to help me understand things,sometimes it takes time to sink in hahaha.
I am pretty good with the mechanical have to work harder with the electrical.
