I guess the dealer can tell by the engine data/serial numbers etc.

I would say unlikely if yours was built that recently but worth a look into it.

I've had 2 F150s w 5.0s in them - both were awesome. I hope you get it figured out. Not sure if you have tried "blowing it out" with a few good runs....

I felt the same way when I traded my 2014 Fx4 / 5.0 for 2018 Lariat 5.0. I had buyers remorse.

It's a totally different animal and I was regretting my purchase till probably a thousand miles.
The 10 speed and four more gears definitely has a learning curve.

My advice. Give it a chance to become your truck and I feel by 5,000 miles the 2013 will seem like a dinosaur.

I haven't had anything but an oil change. I can't wait for all these TSB's to get done and see how much better it really is. Also gotta get the recall, if I could just find the time.

I know this 5.0 would smoke our previous trucks. It's just quieter. The intake does get it's familiar growl a month or so in.

His location says Ft. Worth Texas, and his avatar and screen name are from the first Vice President of the United States. Doesn't sound Canuck to me.

A simple Google search will explain lemon law in your state...

in short, out of service for 30 days and still has a substantial problem, or 4 times in the shop.

The options on my XLT totaled over $12,000. So his deal is actually pretty close to mine.

That's true, Pioneer, however I am an honorary Canadian because I have seen RUSH in concert 44 times.

What do I do if they just can't get it right? I have a feeling this dealership will only go so far before they tell me, sorry, we tried and tough luck.
Hard to see how they could tell you "tough luck" if they've already confirmed that it's not right. They're building a case against themselves if it ever went to court. They might try to make you go away but they'll know that they have to do something if you don't.
