NOT HAPPY with my New 2018 XLT 4x2 5.0!
#11
Great find, Sir! Thank you! I just forwarded it to the service advisor who is handling my truck. It certainly sounds like a big part of what I am experiencing. What are the chances my truck built in July has an engine built pre-November 2017? I know they build and stockpile a lot of components well in advance of assembly. I guess the dealer can tell by the engine data/serial numbers etc.

I felt the same way when I traded my 2014 Fx4 / 5.0 for 2018 Lariat 5.0. I had buyers remorse.
It's a totally different animal and I was regretting my purchase till probably a thousand miles.
The 10 speed and four more gears definitely has a learning curve.
My advice. Give it a chance to become your truck and I feel by 5,000 miles the 2013 will seem like a dinosaur.
I haven't had anything but an oil change. I can't wait for all these TSB's to get done and see how much better it really is. Also gotta get the recall, if I could just find the time.
I know this 5.0 would smoke our previous trucks. It's just quieter. The intake does get it's familiar growl a month or so in.

A simple Google search will explain lemon law in your state...
in short, out of service for 30 days and still has a substantial problem, or 4 times in the shop.

They still have it. They do agree there is a problem though. They have gone back and forth, they say, with Ford engineering who gives them suggestions on settings and things to change but so far no luck. Today they told me they are trying another series of settings just receive from the Engineering people to be followed by tests and it will be next week until they know something.
What do I do if they just can't get it right? I have a feeling this dealership will only go so far before they tell me, sorry, we tried and tough luck.
