Hi all - I wanted to see if you all could please check a quick video I recorded while my truck was idling. I just want to make sure I'm not going crazy but looks like the engine sounds normal, I thought I heard something else like a ticking sound but may be the high fuel pressure pump.

It's a 2015 F150 Ecoboost with about 139800 miles.

All that clicking? Completely normal. Injector noise.

 

Thank you! I feared it may have been the timing chain acting up and wanted to confirm.

 

The timing chain will be a ratcheting noise on cold start.

 

Yeah that's perfectly normal injector noise, here's my 5.0 doing the same thing. Though that whistling doesn't sound right.

 

Thank you! Yeah sounds very similar, phew. You're right, mine has a stronger whistling sound, I guess it could be a vacuum leak? I gotta start checking vacuum lines then...
