Unless you went into FORSCAN and read out the values for the BMS estimated state of charge, there is no way you would know the actual state of charge.

Couldn't I figure this out using the multimeter though?

You can get close. The battery has to be sitting in a state where there is no discharge or charge for an hour and you can get an approximate state of charge based on voltage.

Idaho20f150: I have the NOCO 1&5. Both manuals are worded the same for lights explanation. They work fine for my use.

I did READ MAN!!! What my manual shows for charging LEDs is different than what yours shows. I think you may want to brush up on your comprehension skills a bit.

Idaho, I have the exact same noco genius 2. I bought it because my truck sits for weeks at a time, while I drive my commuter car back and forth to work. The battery would get low at times, so I bought the noco since I have several of the noco boost jump starters and they've never let me down. Anyway, my noco does exactly like yours. It will fully charge the battery but when I open a door and the electric step comes down, the battery charger will drop to the lowest red indicator. It doesn't mean the battery is at 25%; I've actually checked, and it was fully charged. I think whenever the noco sees a load on the battery, it drops down and starts the charge process again, but it goes back to fully charged in short time. Anyway, it's worked great for me for 4 years now. My battery has never let me down. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
