Default Noises in 4x4

Hey guys

Went up the mountain today and took the kid toboganning. Had to engage 4a and then 4h, it was really snowy.

Is it normal to hear noises when in 4x4? Kind of like a whining, bit of scrubbing. 4a also had a bit of whine when taking off. Hard to explain..

Low mile 2019.

Agreed, there are noises associated with 4x4 use.

The only way to know if your noise is a normal noise is to have a person familiar with 4x4's listen to it. Each of my 4 have sounded similar to each other. 1993, 2003, 2016 Ford and a 2008 GM.

Can you describe the noise?

Totally normal. Every vehicle that I've owned since 1998 has been a 4x4 and they ALL make some sort of humming and occasional grinding/rubbing sounds, depending on road conditions, wheel position and tires. No worries!
