Hello all, I've used ForScan to make a few mods in the past and recently saw the new addition on John's spreadsheet for silencing the doo-doo-doo beeps at startup. I made the mod, worked fine, silenced the beeps but now I get a funky faint noise (sounds kinda like the truck is growling at me) each time I insert my key into the ignition. I even reversed the mod back to normal, got the beeps back, but I still have the noise now each time I insert my key into the ignition. Any idea what caused this or how to fix it? Thanks!

Its the Fuel pump priming you will hear it when opening the door also on a cold start

 

Actually, I had a buddy insert key while I listened at engine area with hood up and what I think is the fuel pump is a kind of high pitched whine then immediately after the low growling noise comes from around the firewall area, or maybe inside truck under dash, etc. I can't even hear what I think is the fuel pump from inside and I assume this happens every time the key is inserted but whatever this growling type noise is, is new!
