No spring compressor lift method
Thinking of doing a 5100 install on my f150 to level it out.
I did did the same lift on my Tacoma using a method that used the truck and floor jack as a spring compressor and it was safe and worked great.
Has anyone given this a shot on their f150?
Heres the method. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vkVLBOnAifc

I have done it both ways on the tacoma, and just installed a set on my f-150. I don't think it will work on the f150 due to the factory lower bolts, and the upper spring perch encloses the spring more. Also I don't think the lower control arm will lower enough to fully release the spring like on the tacoma.
Auto Zone rents strut spring compressors for literally free. You pay a deposit that's returned when you take it back. Why would you not go get one? I'm sure other parts stores do the same.

Its not about cost. With The Tacoma set up it is easier and safer to use the method without the spring compressor, free or not.
Find a buddy or a shop with a wall mounted compressor and take the struts to them. Removing them wasnt bad but I felt like we really had to crank on them to get the springs back on the struts with the new struts set at the top perch.
