Turn signals aren't. That is the normal color, but even if they were my understanding is that there's isn't a reflector there anyways because the bulbs do not require it due to their design.

Yup. The projectors are built into the the leds including the turn signal leds on the ford headlights. Even the light pipe doesn't have a reflector it's just a white background.

I think where the knee-jerk reactions were coming from is function. Most mods are done to our vehicles to improve them - led headlights, led foglights, better shocks, better brakes etc. As soon as somebody shows us something that is perceived to be a lower function, such as painting your tail lights black, (don't get me started again) and some of us get all wobbly about it.

I hate fashion, particularly in vehicles. When I was a kid, guys jacked up the rears of their cars, put STP stickers on anything, painted their tires; the rice rocket thing happened, fart can mufflers, leds under the chassis, lowered so you can't slide a piece of paper under the frame, now we see trucks lifted 6" to keep your grandmother out and painting everything black, vinyl wrapping anything that moves.

Function, yes, fashion, no. Save your money for your children's education or your retirement.

Did your grille come black or chrome as well?

Mine has the chrome grille and I'm trying to figure out the best way to matte them
