Is v3.8 the newest version/update for my Sync? I have a 2015 Lariat Screw. The ford website says I have the most current version but that update was done in Jan 2016, and I thought they would have had an update by now. Thanks for the help

 

I thought it was Vers. 2.2, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto...Never heard of Vers. 3.8

 

I have Sync2 not Sync3 and the ford.owner site says that I have v3.8 installed and that it is the most current. Do you have Sync3

 

My wife's '15 Fusion (Sync 2) has 3.8 as well. It is the latest version. I assume that Sync 2 is no longer being actively developed at Ford. I wouldn't rule out a random update in the future, but don't expect one every month either.

 

3.10 is the newest version at this time and a dealer only update. I don't believe there is anything earth shattering in it that should make you run out to your dealer and pay for an upgrade on it. 3.8 is actually 3.08 which is why 3.10 is the latest.

In fact here are the release notes:

I went to the ford website also, said the same for my 2014 Lariat. I contacted Ford support and they said my Sync was due for an update. So, I don't have the latest...according to them. I'll ask for the file at the dealership though...not into spending money to get a vehicle I just paid lots of money for to be updated. lol
