Default New XLT question

I just bought a 2018 F-150 5.0L V8 XLT and walked in the bed of the truck for the first time today and it made crunching like sounds, is this normal? Is it because it is Aluminum? No other truck I have owned or used made sounds like this.

Thanks

Yes. It's common and normal. The crunching sound will go away with time.

That's from the bubble wrap they put under the bed during assembly, makes it ride smooth. After you pop it - it quiets down some.

A spray in liner or just a simple rubber mat will get rid of it.

Now that you mention it I kinda remember that when mine was new.
I certainly never hear it anymore.

Mine did the same thing the first time I stepped into the bed. A week later, it never did it again. I attributed it to initial flexing.
